On my previous post I brought you my favourite combo for Summer: Shorts and Gladiator Sandas! Today it's time for another big trend, and one that might appear a little bit controversial: Culottes!
When I saw the pictures on all the fashion magazines I was a little bit skeptical about this... they're not trousers, they're not shorts... but, as I looked at this beautiful pair, on one of my favourite stores, I couldn't stop myself and I tried them on. And the outcome was: I loved them!!!

No meu post anterior trouxe-vos imressoes sobre o meu conjunto favorito para o Verao: Calcoes e Sandalias Gladiadoras! Para hoje, resolvi trazer outra das grandes tendencias nesta Primavera / Verao, e uma que pode parecer um bocadinho controversa: as Culottes!
Quando eu as vi nas fotos de todas as revistas de moda fiquei um bocadinho ceptica sobre isto... nao sao calcas, nao sao calcoes... mas, assim que olhei para este lindo par numa das minhas lojas favoritas, nao resisti, e tive de experimenta-las. E o resultado foi: Adorei e achei-as lindas!!!

This pair I bought on Ana Sousa store and they're especially wide legged and long... I tried them on and I immediately felt that they needed a beautiful pair of high heeled shoes to elongate the leg and to bring a little bit more of the city look I was going for. Also I needed to match them with a form fitting top to cut through all the wideness.

Este par, que comprei na loja Ana Sousa, e especialmente largo na perna e longo... Experimentei-as e imediatamente percebi que precisavam de um belo par de sapatos de salto alto para alongar a perna e, tambem, para dar o ar de cidade que tentei atingir com este look. Reparei, tambem, que precisava de as conjugar com uma peca justa, na parte de cima, para cortar um pouco toda a largura em baixo.

How did I matched my new pair of culottes? Easy! First I added a nice pair of high heeled varnish pumps to elongate the figure. Second, I matched the culottes with a form-fitting top on the same colour scheme as the culottes and shoes: a beautiful black and white lace top by Karen Millen. Third: as for accessories I added my new fringed clutch to keep in close with the latest trends and to bring a bit of fun to the outfit.

Como e que conjuguei o meu novo par de culottes? Facil! Primeiro adicionei um belo par de sapatos de salto alto de verniz para alongar a figura. Segundo, acrescentei um top justo, dentro do mesmo esquema de cores das culottes e sapatos: um lindo top preto e branco de renda da Karen Millen. Terceiro: no que toca aos acessorios, usei a minha clutch de franjas para manter o look tendencia e, tambem, para trazer um ar divertido a este conjunto de cidade.

Has I mentioned previously I added my fringe clutch for a little bit of fun and also for the "trend" factor. There is nothing wrong in mixing and matching two or three trends if they just look good together! Why not? Fashion should be something that bring us a bit of joy and fun and there are no rules, anymore!

Como mencionei anteriormente, acrescentei a minha clutch de franjas a este look para o transformar em algo divertido e, tambem, para o manter dentro das "tendencias". Nao existe nenhum problema em misturar duas ou mais tendencias se estas ficam bem juntas! Porque nao? A moda deveria ser algo que nos traz alegria e divertimento e nao existem mais "regras" a cumprir!

For this city look I'm wearing, besides the fringe clutch, my cat eye sunglasses in blue, my "Eiffel Tower" necklace, a crystal watch and my "chandelier" earrings. As my hair is up I wanted to continue the "long" look and wear a long pair of earrings. This one was picked due to the silver colour that matches the necklace, watch and the white lace on the top.

Para este look de cidade decidi usar, alem da clutch de franjas, os meus oculos-de-sol azuis, look gato; o colar "Torre Eiffel"; um relogio de cristais e os meus brincos "candelabro". Como estava a usar o cabelo ao alto, queria continuar o look longo deste outfit e usar tambem um longo par de brincos. Este par foi escolhido devido a cor prata que combina com o colar, relogio e com a renda branca no top.
