I've never been a person who couldn't live without flowy long skirts... For me it reminded me of the sixties and freedom, relaxation and the beach and because I've always lived far away from the sea it didn't seem very logic to wear them for the city. I've always found them beautiful and inspiring but they didn't seem very "in", modern or adequate for the fast city life...
That has completely changed over the past few months! As I saw the beautiful Victorian inspired long hemlines on the Autumn and Winter shows I couldn't resist and I fell in love!

Eu nunca fui pessoa que nao conseguisse viver sem saias compridas e flutuantes... Para mim, elas lembravam-me os anos sessenta e liberdade, relaxamento e a praia e, como sempre vivi longe do mar, nao me parecia logico usa-las para a cidade. Sempre as achei lindas e inspiradoras mas nunca me pareceram muito "in", modernas ou adequadas para a vida rapida da cidade...
Isso mudou completamente nos ultimos meses! Assim que vi as bainhas hiper compridas em saias e vestidos, de inspiracao Victoriana, nestes ultimos desfiles Outono e Inverno, nao consegui resistir e apaixonei-me!

For this look I chose a long hemline black lace dress by Zara and I matched it with a faux fur stole in burgundy and white by "Topshop". For the cold I added my black ankle boots and as for accessories I'm wearing a "twenty's" inspired clutch by Mango with a burgundy pom-pom and purple and pink tassels. As the look was already very busy I only added my round sunnies in a similar colour to the "faux fur" stole.

Para este look eu escolhi um vestido de renda preta, muito comprido, da Zara e combinei-o com uma estola de pelo artificial em "burgundy" e branco da Topshop. Para combater o frio acrescentei os meus botins pretos e no que toca a acessorios estou a usar uma clutch de inspiracao "anos vinte", da Mango, com um pom-pom condizente com a cor da estola e "tassels" em rosa e roxo. Como o look ja estava bastante completo adicionei apenas os meus oculos-de-sol, redondos, numa cor semelhante a da estola.

I just love this dress!!! It's stunning lace and long hemline bring out the Victorian trend but it's simplicity makes it modern. I added the "faux fur" stole and clutch to enhance the whimsical look to this outfit and I think it really works!

Eu adoro este vestido!!! A renda linda e a bainha super comprida trazem a tendencia Vitoriana ao look, mas a sua simplicidade torna-o moderno. Acrescentei a estola em pelo artificial e a "clutch" para salientar o ar magico do look e acho que funciona!
