ZEBRA PRINT FOR SPRING
We all know that Animal Print has been one of the top fashion trends of the last few years and I, for one, have been loving it!
There is something wild, fun, rebel and utterly “risque” about it that always makes the one wearing it appear more bold, sexy and adventurous.
The Leopard Print has been the king of the Animal Print trend, on recent years, and has been adopted and utilized by all major luxury fashion houses but, this year, it’s all about it’s competitors: Zebra Print and Tiger Print!
I adopted the Animal Print trend in a blink of an eye and purchased lot’s of fabulous garments and accessories in the beautiful Leopard Print but, this year, I changed it up and went with the amazing Zebra Print in my recent Animal Print choices.
This gorgeous black & white print caught my eye for it’s adaptability to my wardrobe and, again, the fabulous wild and fun aspect to it.
I purchased this stunning faux fur, zebra print, Sicily bag from Dolce & Gabbana at Yoox (out of stock but pre owned here) and I paired it with a zebra print, long sleeve, bodysuit by PrettyLittleThing (here) and my Mango faux leather trousers (here).
I also wore my black, Ermano Scervino, blazer (similar here), a black belt by Stradivarius (similar here) and my Paul Smith black leather ankle boots (similar here).
I’m also wearing my black, Prada, sunglasses (here), large gold and crystal hoops by Ettika (here), a silver and gold chain necklace by Ettika (here) and an old Swarovsky heart necklace (similar here).
After purchasing my Zebra Print bag and bodysuit I realized that this specific print works really well with both black and white colors but also with other colors like green, pink, red or yellow. This is because black & white, the colors on this print, are both neutrals and neutrals usually work well with any other colors.
After my realization I understood that this print was actually more easy to coordinate with my wardrobe than my beloved Leopard Print. Definitely a good choice!
This print is also a good choice for adding a bit of fun and edginess to a more classic or serious outfit without being to much of a statement.
We photographed this look against beautiful graffiti walls in my hometown and I loved the contrast between the colors.
This look is once again all about the “high” and “low” working together: I opted for more affordable or high street brands for the garments and went with luxury ones for the accessories.
As always I opted for higher end accessories which is, in my view, an easy way to elevate any outfit.
I love a perfect pair of leather trousers, and these ones from Mango (in black or eggplant color here) are so good: wide leg, the perfect high waist, super comfortable and the quality of the faux leather is amazing.
I wore them non stop this Winter and I am planning to wear them also for Spring. The love runs so deep that I ended up buying the same pair in a different color too.
I loved this look and although it’s a black and white one I really feel that it hint’s a little bit to Spring, what do you think?
